Salles Voutées de Cassis
I
am happy this year to participate at the Rencontres Photographiques de
Cassis where I will have the pleasure to present a work done on Mount
Fuji in Japan.
A polyptych of 9 monochrome paintings recounting the autumnal atmosphere of Kawaguchi Lake, the Fujisan mirror.
O Fujisan!
It's Autumn 2018, I'm on Kawaguchi Lake and I'm waiting for it.
I feel his presence.
It's a vibration that runs through me.
The clouds are entering into an endless dance around His Majesty.
Sometimes, one imagines furtively his celestial body but it immediately disappears into the vaporous immensity.
The place is magical and conducive to poetry.
Thinking gives the vision of natural elements in fusion.
And one day, unexpectedly, Kawaguchi Lake offers itself like a divine mirror to Mount Fuji, which suddenly appears, adorned with its sublime white robe, in the sky of immaculate blue.
It is a privilege that the Gods offer me.
But the King of Heaven, with a proud turnaround, disappears again into the nebulous mist.

Note on the polyptych " Ô Fujisan! "
This polyptych is composed of 9 images.
The number 9, in Japan, symbolizes the end of a cycle, the sign of disappearance for a renewal.
The
images are in negative to bring a mystical dimension as if they
projected us into the memory of a vanished and eternal world.
The matte cotton fiber paper gives these images a poetic writing that testify to the unique atmosphere of Mount Fuji.
Kawaguchi
Lake releases volutes of evanescent mists that compose fleeting
paintings of great beauty that I wanted to restore through this
photographic series.
The polyptych is made in 3 copies of 9 paintings 21.5cm x 31.5cm signed and delivered with certificate of authenticity.
The
H2Arts of Cassis association presents, in partnership with the Café
Photo Marseille (CPM), the Departmental Council and the City of Cassis,
the fifth edition of the "Rencontres Photographiques de Cassis" on the
theme "Disappearance(s)".
This
year, the meetings is hosted by the guest of honour, Samuel HENSE,
photographer from Nantes, and eleven other photographers, ...
